QuestionHello,
I have lots of the Autumn Joy sedum and have divided it and still have lots of clumps left. I don't want any more starts and I wonder if the remaining undisturbed clumps should be cut back or divided anyway just to keep them from being so dense or compact. Thanks.

Thanx for your question. I haven't divided mine for several years. Divide them when they get too messy or too crowded. Put the excess divisions in the compost pile if you don't need them. Cut back these plants in the fall after they have bloomed. In the late winter I cut away all of the dead stuff and let them start all over in the spring. I hope this helps.
