QuestionWhat should I do with my amaryllis after it has finished blooming.
AnswerTerry,
Cut it back to about 3 to 4" above soil level AFTER the foliage has turned yellow or brown. The bulb needs the green nutrients from the foliage for future blooms.
Then just set it outdoors on a prch or patio and let it continue to grow. You can also leave it indoors by a well lit window. It will bloom again later in the year around Thanksgiving or Christmas.
