Knockout rose leaf hols

Question
QUESTION: my knockout rose bush - this is it's second season - has leaves that look like lace. Lots of holes, pretty much the veins left. New growth seems ok, getting blooms but this lacy looking leaf has started over the last 2 weeks and I'm concerned that the new leaves will soon look like that as well. What is recommended?

ANSWER: You have caterpillars called skeletonizer
Basically you have not been talking proper care of your roses!
Stop feeding chemical fertilizers
Start using a more balanced organic ros?fertilizer
Use compost
Add minerals like rock dust
Foliage spray with seaweed
To control until roses get better
Try using garlic
Buy garlic barrier or make your own.
Also coffee works well

Prune it back for new growth

Does this help?

Answer
I cannot see any caterpillars anywhere

They come out at night....

Have never used chemical fertilizers on this bush

Organic? Good. Feed it better. Something else might be stressing it, near a lawn?  Shaded?

Do you have a recipe for garlic?

8 oz crushed garlic into panty hose, squeeze juice into gallon water
Add liquid seaweed if possible

Coffee - liquid or grounds and in what ratio?

Liquid is good to spray, spray as late in day as possible
Make from used coffee as strong as possible , try using cold press coffee for caffeine

Grounds are good around base of plant. Turn over into soil.

Pruning - new growth on top is fine, do I cut out the skeleton leaves underneath?

Just clean out the damaged parts. Prune to encourage new growth.

Basic problem is low Brix. ,low mineral
