The leaves on my knockout rose bushes have holes.  What caused the holes, and how do I take care of the problem?

Hi Marge,

If they have holes in the middle of the leaf then you are dealing with slugs or snails.

If the leaves are eaten on the edges, then you are dealing with caterpillars or grasshoppers.

My best recommendation would be to use Sevin Dust.   Beer in a shallow pan will attract and drown the slugs.
