Your Web Site

Question
Lynnette,
I have just discovered you!  And it seems from some of the few things I've read that you are reformating your web site.  Am I missing something, or is it back up & I just can't find?
There are too few people like you left in the world. And I think we are the worse for it.
So thanks for all you've done and hoepfully I can have the pleasure of partaking before it's too late.

I'm trying to find The Doctor and Oprah's Legends as well as Black Tea.  I'm in Dallas-Fort Worth.  And thanks again.

Answer
I really enjoyed my website, but when HelpMeFind enlarged their site with so many gardeners from all over the world giving information about different roses, it seemed a waste of time for someone to go to mine when they could get far more information on the  large site. So I took it off the web. Plus,I only gave advice on how to grow roses in the PNW. Because of the financial crisis, rose nurseries have taken a terrible hit and many have had to close. We now don't have any nurseries that carry the older but good roses. People tell me that their garden center only carries the Knockout series of roses. Alas Knockouts will never give the joy to people that a beautiful fragrant hybrid tea will. Kordes Roses in Germany are putting out beautiful roses that really are disease free. Palatine Roses in Canada carries many and ships to the States.

If I can remember correctly, HEIRLOOM ROSES used to carry the Oprah rose.

Rogue Vally Roses still lists Black Tea on their website

The Doctor was a very popular rose, and Vintage Roses carried it. Maybe they still do if they are still open.
