Sorry for the delay- elderly folks problems.
I would water about every ten days. That is unless you get rain. The main thing you want to accomplish over the winter is to keep the roots moist. They do not need as much water since they are not actively growing leaves and flowers.
Also, keep in mind of how your soil drains. You do not want to over water and have the roots rot.
