QuestionI bought 2 36" tree roses last year and the bloomed beautifully last year but this year there are no leaves on it at all and all my other roses are blooming. Is it possible that the plant died cause i didn't cover it in the winter? If so is there anything that i can do to bring it back.
AnswerIf your winter gets snow and nasty cold winds, there is a very good chance your trees died because of it. Trees are made by growing a tall rose and taking the side shoots off until it is the height the person wants. Then they bud a modern rose on the top of this stem. Because the modern rose sits away up in the air, it literally has no protection at all in the winter. If you want to grow rose trees, then when the temperature has dropped to freezing and will stay frozen until spring, wrap your rose tree in bubble wrap.
