QuestionHello, My name is Nicola and I need help identifying the
name of a rose. My Fiance bought me them for our first date
and I would love them for my bouquet. All I know if that
they look like traditional english roses but are a very
curious dull purple/grey colour, my partner said they were
very expensive and were 'vintage' roses if that makes sense.
I have a poor photograph of the bunch if they would be any
help. Many thanks, Nicola
AnswerI'm afraid that roses bought from a florist shop are impossible to identify. The reason is that most roses are imported from other countries such as South American where they grow most of the flowers for they florist trade. Many roses are also grown in California in greenhouses. Also sometimes a florist will import a certain rose and then next year not be able to get it gain. The only way you would know for sure what your rose is would be to to go back to where you bought it fromIf that is impossible, take a picture of the Internet of one that looks identical and show it to a florist in your area, as someone may remember the rose if it was that unusual.
