QuestionI HAVE 3 NEW ROSA RUGULA'S. 2 RED AND 1 WHITE. THE WHITE ONE IS YELLOW, HAS NOTHING BUT LEAVES THAT I CAN SEE. I THOUGHT TOO MUCH WATERING BUT I'M NOT SURE. THE 2 RED'S ARE OK BUT HAVEN'T DONE A LOT SO FAR. I PUT THEM IN ABOUT A MONTH AGO--DO THEY NEED TIME TO ESTABLISH? I'LL BE PATIENT IF THERE'S HOPE. I'M IN THE BOSTON AREA
AnswerNewly planted roses will take at least a couple of months before they settle in and then produce flowers. The plants go under stress because the climatic conditions are not the same as they are usually bought from a nursery. Even a garden a couple of blocks away can have different temperatures and soil conditions. Because your roses are in a new area, just give them time and they will do well for you.
