Any suggestions.
AnswerI don't know what your winter is like, but Aimee Vibert is only really hardy to a zone 7. If you get a cold snap in the winter, the flower buds will be killed. Although Aimee is shade tolerant, translated that means, 4 hours of direct sunshine or a full day of filtered sun. The last thing I can think of is that you are being too generous with the nitrogen. This rose doesn't need much of it and too much means it will act like an electric prod and make the rose shoot up. Aimee really looks best if allowed to grow slow and naturally. This rose grows much wider at the base because it throws up so many basal canes. Aimee throws up loads of basal canes, so many you will have to cut the old ones out regularly.
