Question
I just found what looks like a coccoon on one of the canes of my rose bush! I have double-knockout roses, and actually took a picture of it hoping to be able to attach to this message.. Any ideas on what it is and what I should do?

Sorry your photo didn't come through. If your rose only has one cocoon on a cane, then I would simply take it off and not worry. It would be wise to carefully check and see if there is any evidence of insects burrowing into the insides of the rose canes. The only insect that sort of looks like a cocoon, is the scale bug.
