I LIVE IN WABASH,IN. HOW DO I WINTERIZE A KNOCKOUT ROSE . I HAVE NEVER HAD ONE BEFORE. THANK-YOU SANDY

You don't get really nasty winters in your area but your rose is new to your garden so just for this year I would protect it. Then next year the rose won't need any protection as Knock Out are hardy roses and the roots will have grown deep. Just mound up some soil to about 8 inches on top of the rose bush and that will make sure it gets through your winter without any problems.
