QuestionMy friend in Wichita Kansas has a rose bush called Pink Diamond that blooms continuously all season long, but I am unable to find more info on it. I would like to purchase one for myself, but have been unsuccessful so far. Any help or suggestions?
AnswerEvery year there are over 200 new roses introduced worldwide. Some stand the test of time because thy are vigorous and beautiful plus have a strong fragrance but others fall by the wayside for no reason at all. Pink Diamond was hybridized in 1041 by a man that owned a rose nursery many years ago that has since been closed. Your chances of getting one are nil. However if you really want a Pink Diamond then why don' you get your friend to let you take some cuttings from hers when she prunes it in the spring or even in the fall. Here is how you go about making a rose bush from cuttings. Take at least ten 8 inch cutting from the tips of a cane that has bloomed this year, as some may not strike.
