QuestionI planted a double knockout rose bush about a month ago and it bloomed really good. I cut off the spent blooms and now it has quit blooming. What should I do? I live near Nashville Tn.
AnswerKnock Out will bloom again even if you don't deadhead the flowers. However if you have cut the flowers off with a long stem attached, you may have also cut off the new buds coming. In landscape type roses often the new flowers come right behind the old ones. All you have to do is just snap the dead blooms off with your fingers and really I wouldn't bother, as this rose will bloom just as well even if you don't deadhead.
