AnswerFlorida has some special problems with the soil in regards to growing roses but most roses do very well and you should have no problem with them. Here is some information about growing roses in your area.

Nesons Nursery is a wholesale that sells roses that do well in Florida to other nurseries and garden centers. Just click on the type of roses you want and there will be a list of the best ones on it. You should be able to find them in your local garden center or you can mail order them. Just make sure they are on the right root stock.

You fight disease when it appears because the the rose may not get any problems. It may not even get insects on it and after spraying the leaves they become poisonous to lady bugs and also birds. Just get back to me if you are concerned about a problem on your new roses and we will work something out to solve the problem.
