Questionone side of my tree rose has leaves that are sticky, curling up and then drying to
brown and falling off--its only on one side but I think it's spreading... they turn
yellow/green as they curl up
Thank you!
AnswerThe stickiness is the excretion of aphids which are sucking the sap out of your rose leaves. You could try to hose them off as once they are on the ground at that stage, they can't get back up. If you don't see a difference in a few days then I would bring out the bigger guns and use an insecticide on them as your problem can kill the rose. Orthos Rose Pride Insect Control gets high praise. Not the Orthos Rose Pride for disease but the one that says Insect on the label name. I wish they would make their names clearer. It can get confusing.
