QuestionIs it easy or difficult to propagate a Joseph's Coat rose? My neighbor has a bush and gave me some cuttings. I cut them, put a slit on the side, and dipped them in rooting hormone. I then planted them in large pots. I really love this bush and am hoping for success. Do you have any helpful suggestions?
Thanks,

AnswerHow a rose strikes all depends on it's bloodlines. Some roses are easy to make new bushes from, others are almost impossible and have to be grafted. Here is a good website that will help to explain and answer any problems you might have with your cuttings. It also depends when the cuttings were taken as some strike better in the fall than summer.
