Question
Hello, I bought my wife a tea rose in November in a tiny pot. I transplanted it into a 2 qt. pot and I keep it in a sunny window facing south. It is loosing leaves alot but is still blooming a little. Does it need more humidity. Please help. I plan on planting it outdoors(Southern Michigan) when the weather is warm.

Little roses are just the same as the large garden roses and do require the same attention plus needs. You are right in that it is too dry in the house for the rose leaves. Spray it with warm water daily and place a mulch around the base to keep the roots cool. Also carefully check to see if there are any spider mites under the leaves as you usually bring them home with you on the plant. If they are there then spray the top and underneath of the leaves twice a day until there are no more. Once the rose is outside it will really perk up.
