what needs to done for that?
AnswerMost of the hybrid teas and floribundas have just 5 leaves many of the roses belonging to the other groups can have 7 or 9 leaflets. There are no hard and fast rules to distinguish a sucker but generally the leaves do have 7 leaflets and are a paler green. If they flower they will have 5 petals and will be a very pale blush white. Suckers come only from the rootstock on which the rose is budded and come from below the bud union. Another indication that it is a sucker, is that it will be very vigorous and look out of character in comparison to the other canes of the rose. The suckers will flower next year and if it is a cane from the top rose, which is a floribunda or a hybrid tea, then it should flower this year. Dig down along side of the rose and see where the 7 leaf suckers are coming from and if they are coming from below the bud union knob, then they are definitely suckers.
The main reason that a modern rose doesn't flower is usually because something has damaged the buds. Are there any buds on your roses? If not then something has destroyed them. Rose suckers get a hold when the top rose is weak or has been damaged or even died.
