Question
unknow rose
There is a rose in my neighborhood (a zone 6/5) which I have admired for 2 years now. It repeats blooming rather quickly and continues into late October, early November. We have had light frosts and is still in bloom.
The rose is a medium to dark pink color and is this color even in the summer. Flowers appear mostly individually with some groups, not sprays of flowers. The flower are somewhat like one of the David Austin roses that are not too full. I did not notice any strong fragrance and forgot to smell the roses.
Foliage appears to be good, no black spots, not fungus during the season. The shrub is about 4-5 ft. tall. It was pruned early this year into a square "hedge" form and survived being cut back in this manner.
The rose is planted on a rental property and none of the tenants take care of it, yet it blooms on and on.
I have a photo that show the full rose shrub if needed.
AnswerLooks like a very attractive rose. However there are over 200 roses introduced each year worldwide so it is impossible to actually identify a rose. To be very accurate, a DNA test has to be done. If you like the rose then I would take some cuttings off it and make your own rose bush. Here is how you do it and now would be a good time.
