QuestionSome days ago I got a dozen roses, cut. Placed them in water and enjoyed them. Two of the roses began to grow leaves. I want to know how to salvage this new growth, can I grow a rose bush? I just have the 2 roses in a vase of water.....the roses are very 'done', but I maintain them because of this new folage. Please advise. Thank you. Subrena
AnswerThe roses you received are not the garden type rose bushes but are grown in a very controlled environment by computers in a greenhouse. The chances of making a new plant out of them is very slim. You must cut the end of the base of the can to make sure it isn't plugged with bacteria before you start the process and then see what happens. You do it the same way as if it was a garden variety. Here is how you go about it.
