QuestionI have two rose bushes that are about 8 years old. Both have developed yellow spots on a lot of the leaves and the leaves curl up at the ends. I can't find a specific answer to get rid of it and bring them back to good health and want to do it as organically as I can. Please help!!
AnswerIf the yellow spots have black in the center then you have a fungal disease called Black Spot. However if you are an organic gardener and your roses have been okay up to now, then it is simply a weather condition that has caused it. I wish there was an organic solution to black spot but there really isn't. BS spores are in the air and if the weather is ideal for this fungus growing, then the roses will get it. The best way to combat it is to make sure your roses are watered well and fertilized and this means you will have a strong healthy rose which will fight off BS. Probably next year they will be back to normal and not get BS.
