QuestionI have an old bush that is probably 25 plus years old. It is absolutely beautiful with pink roses. My mother would like to take an off-shoot from it. How would we go about it? And if I dead head the old roses, will new ones form and if so, how far back to I remove the dead heads? Thanks!
AnswerDead heading a rose is just snapping the old bloom off with your finger. The cutting down to 7 leaflets myth has been disproved. Here is a good site that will walk you through the process of making a new rose bush from a cutting.
