QuestionHi there lynnette, our banksia rose has dropped an awful lot of its leaves,we pruned it in early May taking the new growth off that was becomming wayward and there is signs of new growth on the remaining bush but still the leaves fall, what can we do. Thanks, Sharyn.
AnswerThere could be many reasons whey the rose is dropping it's leaves but mainly they drop their leaves to save them selves. To much water or not enough will make them drop yellow leaves. Using some sprays or giving liquid fertilizer in high heat will cause it. Pruning late and then high heat on the new growth is another reason. Also warm weather and then a heat wave will do it. If there is new growth coming your rose won't die but will re-cover.
