QuestionI live in Cincinnati, Ohio and planted 2 of these roses by my house where they get sufficiant sun and lots of wind. I fertilized them with Systemic Rose care and feed. They
are not looking good and are getting lots of yellow leaves & spots, etc. What can I do to correct this? Looking forward to your answer. Peggy

AnswerI am getting a lot of negative feedback as you describe, in regards to systemic all in one rose sprays on some roses. You should not be getting any problems as the spray should be taking care of anything that is effecting the roses. I would pull back on the rose spray for a few weeks and see if that helps them. Also( if you are aren't doing it) water deeply and make sure it gets down to the roots. Dig a little near the rose and see where the water is actually getting to. Try placing some sort of mulch around the base of the rose as roses love cool, damp roots, and this alway helps a newly planted rose. Alfalfa meal is another good way to help the roots get settled into a new home. It contains a hormone which help to activate the rose roots to take up water and nutrients easier. Just sprinkle it around the base.
Double Knock Out roses are tough so don't worry about them dying. Let's just give them a rest from what ever the chemicals are in the spray and see fist if that is what is annoying them. Please get back to me in a couple of weeks.
