QuestionHi
I live in Zone 5 and I had trimmed a rose bush last fall and now it has green stems, but it hasn't grown any leaves although the other bushes near it already have several leaves!
What can I do to correct this?
Thanks for your help
AnswerSometimes even though a rose has nice green canes, it actually has died over the winter. Cut back the tips of the canes a little and if there is any brown in them, then the rose has died. If the canes are green then I would cut them down further to try and activate the plant into growing.
