knockout not blooming

Question
Hi. I am new to roses and planted 5 knockouts in my backyard where they receive afternoon sun for a good 6 hours. I am confused about how little or much to water them, read different opinions. I bought a time release rose fertilizer and applied then to the top of the soil around root when planted. I have no blooms on any of them since I bought them and  they all fell off. I had them in a part sun area at first and then moved them last week to full sun. I had two blooms on one bush but they never grew to their full potential. Those fell off after a few days. I don't know what I am doing wrong. Any help is welcomed. Please help me save them.

Ps. One of the bushes has some yellow leaves.

Answer
Roses hate to be disturbed at any time and even bringing them home from the garden center and planting them in a new location, is enough to put them under stress. 6 hours of sun is fine for any rose so that wasn't the problem. Slow release fertilizer is a good idea because every time you water, they get a little amount of nutrients. It will normally take about 1 month fr a rose to settle in and start to bloom. If you replanted them into full sun then they will re-act to that and become very stressed out. If you did replant them then just continue watering them. If the weather isn't very hot yet, then water every five days. Really soak them them very well. If it turns hot, then water every three days and again soak them. Roses like to have a large drink not a lot of little sips. So don't worry anymore because Knock Outs roses will return to normal once they settle in. You are doing every thing correct for them, just be patient with them.
