QuestionHi, remember the drooping/wilting rosebud on my Granada rosebush? Well it started drooping again. It perks up sometimes but is most of the time facing down. This is saddening me. I also noticed some black spots on the rosebud itself, but no disease/damage anywhere else. Is this normal? Would you know anything about this and what I should do now? Thanks for all your help.
AnswerMaking a flower takes the most energy in a rose to do. I would cut the drooping bud off and then concentrate on getting the bush healthy and vigorous. The black spots are a fungal disease called Black Spot and is very common in roses. Any rose spray for black spot will help with this problem. Give your new rose time to settle in ad then it will bloom well for you.
