different roses on same bush

Question
I have several varieties and colors of roses that seem to also be growing spindly red roses also.  If it was just one bush, I wouldn't be concerned, but it's like 4 bushes that this has happened to.  Any ideas?

Answer
All roses are budded onto a more vigorous under stock called Dr. Huey. When the top rose dies because it is more tender, then the under stock takes over. It then sends up canes and has semi double red blooms. You main rose has died and the under rose has taken over. I would dig Dr. Huey out as he only blooms once and there are better roses.
