QuestionHi Lynnette, I am planting KORs today and want to plant them closer than the 4 foot reccomendated spacing. Will it hurt them to be planted closer together? Thanks you, Gert
AnswerGo ahead and plant the roses closer if you want to. The reason they say that you should plant them 4 feet apart is because if you don't prune them at all, they can grow sideways and not touch. You can even plant them 3 feet or closer, just make sure that you prune them back hard in the spring. Knock Out roses actually do better if they are hard pruned.
