QuestionWe live on a lake in Western Washington (I know we have resident beavers) and have had (2)rosebushes disappear in (2) weeks! Have you ever heard of an animal completely removing rosebushes -- rootball and all!
AnswerMoles, Voles, Beavers all carry off the whole rose bush. To discourage any animal, use a spray with ammonia in it, such as Windex with Ammonia and spray all around the base of a rose bush. The only other animal that I have been told, who will take the whole rose bush is a human being. But that usually is done when it is blooming.
