Disease resistant roses

Question
I live on Fox Island,WA, facing SW on the water.  I want to replace 30 yellow roses that continually have black spot disease with a new disease resistent yellow variety that bloom all summer. They should not be taller than 2 feet since they are in a raised bed.  I would appreciate any suggestions.  Thank you.

Answer
Roses have bloodlines just like a human being. To sort of simply rose breeders wanting to make a yellow rose. They have to bred back to a species type rose to get the colour but because the species rose they use is very prone to blackspot, many yellow roses have this weakness. What would do best for you would be a Rugosa but there is only one yellow Rugosa called Topaz Jewel. It has very attractive flowers. There is a photo of this rose on my website under rugosas.

I honestly don't know what to suggest. I garden in the PNW a block from the sea and any modern shrub you see on my website does okay for me. I have yet to find a yellow shrub that does well. There are better hybrid teas or floribundas in a yellow in the colour of yellow. Freisia(Sunsprite) and Eureka are two good yellows. Both are hardy and both do well for me. Please get back to me if you decide on a different colour.
