I am staying at Calcutta , India . I have some rose plant in earthen pot whose medium is cinder + coarse sand ,would you please give me a good water soluble inorganic fertilizer formulae and its application procedure.Is there any hormone necessary for plant growth,if so please give details.Thank you.

Because there is only minerals in cinder type soil and none in sandy soil, the best way to grow any plant that is in a container is to give them a type  of liquid fertilizer that are used for hydroponics. As they will be for those plants that are grown in just water, the fertilizer will contain everything the plant needs. Just follow the amounts on the package for any shrub as roses are shrubs. Ignore how much water to use as your rose is in soil.In regards to hormones, they are in the plant itself and will be activated by the fertilizer as they grow.
