QuestionI have grown a rose bush in a pot from a clipping of one of my boyfriend's grandmother's bushes. It has done extremely well, much to my suprise!. It is now mid-September and I don't want to lose it during the winter. Should I replant in the ground or leave it outside in the pot or bring inside in the pot?
AnswerIt's always exciting when you succeed with a rose cutting. If you do get a very cold winter by all means put it in a place that is unheated such as a garage. I would wait until all the leaves fall off as putting in the garage might start it growing again which you don't want. Just keep the soil damp but not wet. Then in the spring you can plant it in the garden where you want it to grow. If you don't get snow in the winter then you can plant it outside or bring it in as you have a choice. Hope this helps.
