THANK YOU
AnswerWhat you are describing is a rose disease called Black Spot. The spores of this fungus float around in the air and when there is a wind or rain, they are forced to the ground. When they land on a rose leaf they start to grow into a mould. This mould lives off the sap in the leaves and kills the spot where it is growing so that is the spots you are seeing. Finally it will kill the whole leaf and the leaf will go yellow and die. Any spray that is for black spot will keep in under control. This rose has been advertised as having very good resistance to Black Spot. I guess sometimes you can't believe all the hype about a rose. The best way to help get rid of Japanese beetles is to hand pick them off and kill them. Should they get really bad, get an insecticide spray for this type of beetle, and make sure you also spray all around the base of the rose in case others hatch out from there. Hope this helps.
