QuestionI have had these roses for 3-4 years. The plant is healthy with lots of lush green leaves - but not a single bud. I pruned it (hoping that would help) to no avail. Any ideas? No blackspot, no chewed up leaves, no yellow leaves. Thanks for any help
Answer Lady Banks makes growth in a season and then the next year will bloom on that wood it made. If you prune these roses back then you have cut off the new flowers. This rose can be pruned back right after it has finished blooming. This will give it time to make new wood which will have flowers on it the following year. If you get a cold winter in your area or a frost in the early spring, this could freeze the buds and then it wouldn't bloom. Hope this helps.
