QuestionHi,
I have many rose bushes that have always quite hearty but this year I discovered tiny green worms with black heads,
they look like small catapillars about 1/4 to 1/2 inch long, eating and creating this silk like substance around the buds. What can I do to banish them from my 20 yr old pampered rose bushes! Any advice would be helpful!
AnswerWhat you are describing is the larvae of the Tortix moth. At this stage they are easy to get rid of. Just use any rose insecticide and that will solve your problem. You can also pick off the areas that they are on if you have the patience. Hope this helps.
