Question
A friend of mine received a dozen roses aboutt a year ago..these roses were dark velvety red BUT with lite  black paintbrush strokes up the sides from the stem up to top of petals...the name was Paintbrushers rose..Do you know anything about this rose?

No I haven't heard of this rose....I tried a search on the Help me find roses website, but it didn't come up. I know mostly about garden roses.  Obviously this was a type of special florist rose - you could try a internet search on sites that sell florist style roses.  Goodluck-
