QuestionI have Standard Iceberg Roses and one of the plants' leaves keep on drooping- no matter how much water I give them. It is still blooming flowers and the leaves are still green- I am just not sure what the problem is.
AnswerRose leaves droop usually because something is bugging their roots. Not enough water will cause it as well as too much water. Insects eating the roots or fertilizer put on when the temperature was too hot. Your problem is definitely caused by the roots because you say the flowers and the leaves were doing okay. I would pull back on the watering as a test. I would also dig down beside the roots because sometimes the water really isn't getting down far enough. If the rose has performed well other times then it is probably the above problems. However if it has always done this then it is a grafting problem at the top as 3 to 5 unions are grafted on a standard and one has not taken properly. Hope this helps.
