QuestionI have several rose plants this year 2 of my plants got really big with lots of new growth but they never produced any roses. I am not sure why because the others ones had lots of roses on them.
AnswerWhat you describe is not unusual. Many roses when given a generous amount of fertilizer the first few years will simply make growth at the expense of flowers. It appears to be in the nature os some roses. Next year I would pull back on nitrogen as you want blooms now. Fish fertilizer is a good all round fertilizer you can even use it as a spray as rose leaves can take up the fertilizer as well as the roots do and even quicker. I wouldn't worry because you will defintely have flowers next year. Hope this helps.
