QuestionIt started last year and got worse this spring: each morning fresh branches - mostly with buds - are bitten (like cut ) off from a rose bush.
Any idea what type of animal this might be?
Rabbits? Opossum? Moles? Rats? The stems bitten look too big for a bird to bite through.
We are in Southern Cal and could have all of these around.
And: if you know - what can I do?
Spray Bitter Apple?
Answerhanne.............the best solution would be to watch for
what is doing this..........on a saturday/sunday....once you pinpoint the culprit it will be easier to find a antidote...............because each cause could be treated differently. Good luck and God bless,
