QuestionNeed an opinion!
I want to have a beautiful classy wedding. We are having 350 guests - 30 tables of centerpeices.
We are trying to save $ but the florist bill came to $7800. He suggested in order to save some $, we should have high centerpeices w/candles all around the back tables of the ballroom and then the inner tables all with low centerpeices w/candles...he said it will have a nice flow?
My worry is does this look cheap? Or should be go with all high for another $200?
AnswerHi Debbie........nice flow? Ironically, the centerpieces on the inner tables should be "lower" to encourage conversation and eye contact across the tables.......It will be perfect! Look... Cheap? For this price, i hope not! Are you familiar with this florist's work before hand?
Having done weddings "in and out of season"(meaning using my own flowers or those purchased wholesale)....you are paying at least half the fee for the containers, wholesale flower order, etc. Only a portion of this goes back to the "artist" performing the floral arranging! Depending on the flowers used and the size of each arrangement........"cost" for your florist is pretty high too. And since "simplicity" is not usually a descriptive word used in weddings?... I am sure your wedding will be as "classic" as the floral "artist" can produce!
Congratulations.........God bless.
