Questionhow do i from them into a tree (small) 4-5 feet tall thanks i have seen them but can't find anyone who selll them, thanks
AnswerHi Margie-
There are companies that sell rose standards (rose trees) via mail order (Jackson & Perkins) but they are bare-root (no dirt) and they can arrive dried out and dead - so I don't recommend buying roses through the mail bare-root. The only places of the country where bare-root might work would be up north where they temperatures are much colder so when you receive the bare-root rose - it is still in good condition when it arrives. You can check out the website WWW.jacksonandperkins.com.
Usually local garden centers sell rose standards (rose trees) in 2-5 gallon pots with the dirt (which is better) and in the Houston area, where I live, at this time of the year (November) these roses go on sale for 70% off. I don't know where you live, so the local garden centers in the colder areas up north may have stopped offering roses by now. If this is the case - you may have to wait until the spring when most garden centers and home improvement centers (like Lowes, Home Depot, Walmart) start to offer roses again. I know its hard to wait - but like they say - sometimes it is worth the wait.
Keep smelling the roses!

I have some rose standards growing in my yard: angel face (lavender rose); nearly wild rose (pink) and a miniature rose standard (Baby Carnival).
