when can i transplant a rose of sharon shrub?it is 5 years old and we want to move it.

Answer
The best time to move any plant is when it is dormant such as fall or early spring. However if you have to move it now then have the new hole ready, cut the plant back by a half and if possible re-plant in the evening not in the day when the sun is hot. Then water, water, water. Never mind if the plant looks droopy, just keep watering and in time it will come back. Hope this helps. Lynnette
