QuestionHello Lynnette,
I have a rose bush and recently, I've noticed it's leaves turning from green to a spotty yellow-green. What is this due to? How can I resolve it?
AnswerIt is sort of hard to tell what is the matter without actually seeing the leaves, but there are two things that could be happening here. One is that you have a rose with a rose virus. This can show up first as pale yellow spots which can turn to a brighter yellow. The other reason the could be that the rose has a fungus infection. This can easily be cured with a fungal spray such as Funginex. Just follow the directions on the bottle. There are a few fungal diseases that roses get and it usually shows up in the leaves but using the spray will cure all of them. If the spots do become brighter yellow , there is no cure for rose virus. It doesn't kill the rose and it won't infect other roses but it does make the leaves look sickly. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Lynnette
