Question
Can you tell me what you think is the best climber for sun to part shade.  Our climate tends to be dry, hot, and humid. Our zone is 8. I would like a fairly nice size bloom, plus good fragrance if possible.

There aren't too many roses that like part shade . They will grow in it but you don't get as many flowers. New Dawn is a climber that is happy in sun and part shade and will bloom well for you. Aloha is another one but it does take about three years to become tall. Both are fragrant but not strong. They also have good disease resistance. Hope this helps. Lynnette
