i have 7 minature roses that keep getting leaf miners and tiny flies. i have taken all the leaves off and sprayed. when the new growth comes back the cycle starts all over again. i live in fort lauderdale. also the leaves turn yellow. what can i do to stop this cycle?

The insects you describe are in the soil so the next time you spray make sure you drench the soil well. Also place a plastic bag over the rose and leave overnight. That way none of the bugs can escape and come back again. Yellow leaves means that the rose may not be getting enough fertilizer or that the atmosphere is too dry. If the roses are in the house than that definately will cause the leaves to drop off. Spraying the roses with water daily will cure that. If they are in the ground it will be lack of fertilizer.
