QUESTION: Hi Gill,
I just sent 2 pictures to you regarding my mystery shrub - here are the last two pictures I mentioned. I hope these 4 pictures, in total, help to identify it. Thanks - Patty

QUESTION: Hi Gill,
The last time I wrote you had asked me to send the pictures to see if you can identify the shrub. I notice your last replies say you answered the question, but I have not received any answer after I sent those pictures. Did you have any idea from the pictures (I was thinking maybe a trumpet bell) Thanks - I appreciate it.
AnswerHi Patty
I sent a reply when I received the images (a thank you and a request to give me a couple of days to do some research). I sent the final answer last night. In case you haven't seen it - I said that I am 99.9% sure that what you have is indeed a trumpet bell - the botanical name is Tecoma stans and I think the variety is 'Augustata'. I also suggested that if the frost damage is unsightly you can prune it back in spring.
One again, my apologies for keeping you waiting and thank you for your patience.
Gill
