QuestionOur home is in the United States - Nevada. We have a desert climate - over 100 degrees in the summer - little or no rain. We are trying to create a hedge-type effect between our backyard and our neighbors backyard. There is full sun exposure on this part of the yard. We have tried rosemary pyramids and pineapple guave. We have them on a drip system and the ground is wet, but they both dried up and died. The leaves burn and for some reason the rosemary turns brown. It抯 not the best soil, but we do fertilize. What kind of shrub would you recommend?
AnswerHello Darlene
Desert conditions are really outside my area of expertise, but I have found a website which may help you -
www.horticultureunliiteded.com
If you click on 'Shrubs' in the menu you will find on the right hand side of the site, you will find many useful plants listed.
I hope this site will give you inspiration!
