QuestionI live in west central Ohio, with burning bushes that are about 8 years old, and have been trimmed regularly. They are about 3-4 feet wide/tall. One died, and I would like to transplant one from another location to that spot. How do I go about this? Are there special concerns since the weather has been so dry lately?
AnswerHello Jackie
How to transplant a shrub was the first question I answered for AllExperts!
The plant was different from your, but the technique is the same whatever the shrub.
I gave point by point instructions and here's how to access them:
Go to the AllExperts site and click on 'Home & Garden'
click 'Gardening'
click 'Shrubs'
click my name to access my profile page
click the heading 'Recent Answers' (you'll find it under my profile}
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click 'More answers in category
Shrubs'
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click 'All'
This will open a list of questions asked. Scroll down to 7/8/09 - the question related to transplanting Spireas bushes.
Click on the question heading. This will open a page with the full question at the top, then some advertising stuff and under that you'll find my complete answer - step by step instructions....
